Karen Reagan is not a newcomer to the business community in Montgomery,
Alabama. She has over 18 years of experience in the ownership
and operation of Reagan Reporters, LLC, a freelance court-reporting firm
located Montgomery. As a court reporter and service provider, she has
garnered a vast knowledge and worked on litigation in many areas; from
medical malpractice and nursing home litigation to environmental and
construction issues to antitrust matters. She will tell you,
though, that her personal special interest areas are in commercial and
business litigation, securities, and products liability. In
addition to her court-reporting role, Karen has been accountable for document
management coordination and processing in many voluminous document cases
for her clients and is very knowledgeable in assisting attorneys and
paralegals alike in all of their litigation support needs.
As owner and managing principal of Reagan Reporters, LLC, Ms. Reagan
oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm in addition to the
administration of marketing plans, fiscal management, and systems
administration. Managing her team of eight reporters to
satisfy the needs of their legal clientele, together they have proven
the ability to meet critical deadlines. She credits her office
administrator, production team, and court reporting staff with keeping
abreast of the ever-changing technology in the legal arena to put her
firm a step ahead of their competitors.
Ms. Reagan has conducted many speaking engagements at Prince Institute,
in addition to sitting on its Board of Advisors since 1990. She
is a frequent guest CLE speaker to attorney groups and legal assistant
associations on the implementation of today’s technology in the legal
marketplace. Karen is also an active member of the Alabama
Court Reporters Association and has sat on its Executive Board for over
six years. Ms. Reagan has just concluded her term as President
for the State of Alabama and is now Immediate Past President.

Mrs. Alpert has been employed with Reagan Reporters since 1995 and has a
broad technical knowledge base of reporting and legal-related software
programs and procedures. She is a graduate of Bethany Worldwide
College and has attended a multitude of computer and management-type courses
at Auburn University of Montgomery and Huntingdon College. Charity
is proficient with ReporterBase, RealLegal’s family of software products,
InData Trial Director, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint,
Microsoft Access and QuickBooks. During her tenure with Reagan Reporters, Ms.
Alpert has established and supervised the organizational structure of many
heavy document cases, and is always a step ahead of the curve in utilizing
the latest in litigation support technology to keep track of every single sheet
of documentary evidence for our clients. She has studied in the
areas of leadership and organization, in addition to having hands-on
experience with accounting matters and all areas of office
administration. In 2003 she obtained the Certified Manager
of Reporting Services (CMRS) certification issued by the National Court
Reporters Association. Best of all, Charity is adored by our
clients and reporters alike. With her broad-based reporting
background and experience, she is always able to take care of our
clients’ and reporters’ needs with a huge smile and kind word for
