Realtime Reporting

THE HEART AND SOUL OF COURT REPORTING USED TO BE A FAST AND ACCURATE RECORD. That standard has now shifted even higher — to the preferred way of realtime. You can see what you're hearing while you're hearing it.

Realtime reporting is an efficient, effective and immediate tool to manage depositions as they are being taken. Highly skilled court reporters — the best in the industry — deliver an instantaneous transcript via cable to your laptop computer. This technologically-advanced service gives you the immediacy of having a transcript as testimony is being given, and it also offers the flexibility of an electronic format.

As you review the transcript in realtime, you can mark text for follow-up questions and make reference notes on-screen without disturbing the page and line integrity of the transcript. You can also pre-set automatic marks and codes to flag words, names or legal issues as they are addressed. Your own expert witnesses can review in realtime the testimony of other experts, or your co-counsel can conduct searches and be preparing follow-ups while you're focusing on the testimony at hand.

With realtime transcription, a rough draft on ASCII disk will be provided at the conclusion of the deposition. And just because it's immediate does not mean that it's costly. Realtime transcription usually costs less than expedited charges incurred during traditional court reporting.

Reagan Reporters' realtime specialists will assist you in the selection and installation of Summation® software, or we'll work with other compatible receiving software you may already have. Because realtime transcription requires extensive preparation for a reporter, three days notice is required for this service.

In the future, every deposition will be in realtime.
